The books on my Christmas list
Yes that time is fast approaching and I thought I would share the books on my list that might provide a little inspiration if you are like me being badgered for said list...
- 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret, Craig Brown - I absolutely adore The Crown and Vanessa Kirby's portrayal of the party Princess. This takes a look at one of the most glamorous yet unhappy lady and her stylish life.
The Modern Cook’s Year, Anna Jones - this is a seriously large cookbook. Divided into six seasons, the recipes mentioned on the blurb had me drooling in the bookshop. If you want to re-tune into what's seasonal this is a very good place to start. I'm hoping to have a very tasty year.
The Talented Mr Ripley, Patricia Highsmith - a classic that I haven't had the pleasure of reading and I've seen majority of the film so I thought why not go for the glamorous cover. The VMC designer collection has a real breadth of books and I'm attempting to collect the lot.
The Dud Avocado, Elaine Dundy - Another in the VMC designer collection and another story I've been waiting to get my hands on.
The Cottage Kitchen, Marte Marie Forsberg - I've followed Marte for such a long time on Instagram and her photo taking abilities are spectacular so I just know this book is going to be beautifully shot and will have me wanting to lick the pages.
Let's just hope I've been good this year...
